Packing

Thumb Rules for packing :

• Start your packing well in advance
• Buy good quality travel bags 
• Put identification marks and labels on both the inside & outside of the travel bags 
• Wear your shoes to save space in the box
• Wear your sweater to save space & weight
• Wear your jacket to save space & weight
• All the memories that you want to carry

Things to be kept on person :

• Your address & contact
• Enough money ~ $10, $20, $100 cash in broken bills
• Travelers checks along with receipts
• Backpack 

Things to be kept in the carry baggage :

• Original important documents (Passport, I-20, visa, tickets etc.)
• Emergency contact in India & USA
• Get some rough paper & pens
• Some medicines, for air-sickness, with prescription
• Medical history files & prescription

Things to be kept in the check in baggage :

• Everything else goes into the check in baggage.......
